LOL golfzoner, you are quite correct about the minority of Abbott devotees who see malice in every corner where Abbott is concerned. As it turns out whether or not it could have been done better I am convinced Abbott and Bishop did all they could to dissuade Indonesia from going ahead with the executions. Even the Opposition acknowledges that.
On Abbott regarding performance on other issues it doesn't change the fact that he is extremely unpopular and Mr 12% as preferred leader of his Government, something the devotees cant stomach. Well the polls will tell the story on the general position on an ongoing basis and it remains to be seen whether he can extract himself from the dire position he and his government is in.
