CFU is initially focused on an existing and growing micro-CHP market in Europe. They established a UK subsidiary in August 2004 and engaged staff to focus immediately on the European prospects. A subsidiary is an enterprise that is controlled by another enterprise (known as the parent). They will then move into growing micro-CHP markets in Asia and North America. Energex is a significant shareholder of CFU, so clear partners in Australia are in place. In Energex' case the entire QLD market.

Quoted from the 3rd quarter report dated 24th of April.

'During the period the Company completed a placement of 175m ordinary shares to UK and European institutional investors, raising A$87.5m (£37.2m). In addition to this, 7.7m shares were placed to existing shareholders raising a further A$3.867m. The Company’s shares were admitted to trading on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange on 2 March 2006. Expenses of A$6.382m in relation to these two placements were paid during the period.'

And before you ask what did they do with all this extra capital and was it money well spent then note from the same report that investments in research and development almost trebled from (834,000)
    (2,109,000).

Significant institutional investors of CFU now include:
AEGON UK plc group - 9.15%
    Credit Suisse Group - 5.05%
    ENERGEX Limited - 12.80%
    Woodside Petroleum Ltd - 13.27%

WPL is also an interesting partner in terms of it's potential to diversify into a reseller of CFU units to a global market or to assist CFU make technological advances but I am not certain of its interests.

Hope I answered your question. Maybe look at some other examples.
