I think you missed my point, I totally agree with you.
It is just that the picture of the toxic tailings dump at Bayan Obo is plastered all over every article used to discuss the RE production pollution problem in China.
It was not long ago that an article discussing the production of I-phones and the like had that pic plastered all over it and it was discussed here with much vigor, saying that China had a real problem.
It is used to shame China and China in the end does not really care.
That was the point I was trying to make.
