Moondoong, it's my honest assessment that Tony Abbott is our worst ever PM; worse even than Billy McMahon and massively worse than Julia Gillard, Kevin Rudd - both of whom walked away with heads held high having saved Australians from the worst impacts of the GFC and being able to boast world-best macroeconomic KPIs including that Australians had become the wealthiest people on Earth on their watches.
But after almost two years of Abbott's destructive negativity and his reactionary regime; Aborigines cannot believe how badly he deceived them, Australia is much less cohesive, our economy is less productive, we are less certain about our future as we grapple with an economic mess that never had to happen that economists now think may even degenerate into recession.
Our environment is now on UN watchlists, wealth concentration has reached record extremes, we've become the World's Climate Denial sinner and investment in new generation greener enterprises has all but vaporised under Abbott's regressive regime. The manner in which Abbott has knee-capped overseas aid and insulted other nations is without precedent and will take a decade to repair.
Abbott's broken the piggy bank with his warmongering waste on 54 extra JSFs and a larger fleet of submarines we can't even get crews for and yet another war in the Middle East that's none of our business. Our motor manufacturers are exiting, Science and Medicine have received body blows and public education and public health were cut despite his great big election promises.
As for the achievements, Indonesia may well teach Abbott a lesson and abandon its management of asylum seekers - perhaps even flooding our news with reports about what's really been happening!
Indeed, Abbott's dark chapter in Australia's history will include a caption of us being flushed down the gurgler by a man whose loyalty is to colonial Britain.
