Domain, we had a thread on Iraqis-in - exile some time back.
These guys are going to make up the new Iraqi Govt, with US backing.
However, evidence was shown that the reason they were in exile was because they were crooks, caught with fingers in the till, and were facing punishment in Iraq.So they fled to the US, testified what a tyrant Saddam was, and acted as consultants on Iraq to the US Govt.
Could you really believe THEM?
Is not the evidence of young Iraqi men charging US machine guns with pitchforks in suicide waves proof that they DONT want to be liberated by the US?
The Iraqi troops in the south that surrendered, and held up the convoy;ever thought they may have been ordered to do that to tie up Allied soldiers?
The fact is, the resistance has been considerably stronger than anticipated.
Why? 'Cause the guys who said the war would last 72 hrs and the allies would be greeted with rose petals LIED. The Iraqis seem to want to resist occupation at any cost, including death.
