    I'll try and be positive about this.

    What would convince me is if prayer were answered in a consistent, repeatable and verifiable manner?

    For example if groups of sick people who are prayed for have consistently and varifiably better outcomes than groups who are not prayed for.

    I suspect that responses to this could include
    God won't be tested.
    Such an outcome would do away with faith.
    And more...?

    Or more likely, there is no one to hear the prayers in the first place and so there is is no consistent, repeatable and verifiable responses to prayers.
