I should clarify...when I say "informed" I am taking a legal view.

I do not consider an understanding of the "WA Inc.' syndrome, or of corruption in general to be that of an "informed" person...although clearly on this ocassion, one would have been very wise to have been more "informed" on this level.

As for the "industry" talk you alude to...I think you will find that although most people may have cynically suggested RIO would win in their throw-away remarks, that most of them privately were thinking (perhaps hoping) that on this occassion, maybe, just maybe, the law might actually prevail for once?
