A year or so ago I read a really good article (which I should have kept) that was about how globalisation has so altered the myriad of economic indicators of yore that erstwhile very experienced economic commentators have simply lost their prediction "mojo" (as Austin Powers would say).
Perhaps the "bear speak" on hc is being based on pre globalisation knowledge and experience? Its a valid foyle for those who would criticise "fundamental economic basis shift" lol.
