    1. Why should RIO and BHP be the dominant players, when newer companies want to invest in iron ore?

    There is absolutely nothing stopping newer companies from investing in iron ore. They do it all the time. But just not very well, evidently.

    So why should those that do it well be punished in order to subsidise those that lack the expertise or the capital?

    2. Why would a company keeping increasing supply when the market is adequately supplied?

    The answer is simple. Because it is profitable to do so.

    Capitalism, I believe, is the name for it.

    Do not all companies seek to increase their intrinsic value by growing their Revenues and Profits? Does it concern you that Woolworths or Bunnings roll out new stores? Or that CBA seeks to write more home loans? Or that Telstra wants to sign up more mobile phone subscribers? Or that Dulux is expanding its paint production capacity? Or that COH wants more people to use their bionic hearing devices? Or that Apple wants to increase the sale of its iPhones?
