Maybe there will be a dividend.
Maybe they will acquire another company.
Maybe they are moving to a more up-market clothing strategy.
Maybe they will buy more stores.
The dividend would be a tangible return to shareholders. All of the others would lead to a capital spend which would further confuse shareholders as to the legitimacy of the company. Profits could again be negligible for a dividend to be avoided. Why not just make good profits and distribute it to shareholders for a few years? Convince them of the legitimacy of the company. Expand with the increased capital available to them with a decent share price?
The sentiment certainly has risen from the shareholder meetings so far. However I feel that it might be short lived when the realisation sets in that nothing concrete has been announced regarding the direction of the company that would reward shareholders in the short term.
