    imo, it is not smart to have a big mortgages or a big share portfolio in these times!

    especially if property prices and the sharemarket are likely to be flat to down, in the longer term!

    the holding costs can be astronomical if mortgages go up!

    it also cramps your lifestyle!

    imo concentrate on developing a decent income or developing a secondary income!
