"Similarly, all statements made in the course of court proceedings by judges, jurors, barristers, witnesses and parties are absolutely privileged, and no action for defamation can be brought in relation to them. This includes statements contained in documents used in the course of legal proceedings (but not publication of those documents outside court).
Absolute privilege applies to courts and to other tribunals which operate in a way similar to courts. It does not apply to purely administrative bodies, such as licensing authorities."
