JV nobody cares about who paid what but as a well wisher I have question mark on your strategies such as not bailing out with auto stop-loss no matter what...being an experienced campaigner. Imagine if the next batch of drill results is ordinary...I believe management already have more than 10 hole results...so why withhold? Are you going to publish 10 RC holes each x 6 times? Which is silly...anyway..each to their own mate..no dramas there. I wish you and others don't lose money defending your stock.
JV you are right, the main game is the stock. I am almost up to date and closely following vanadium especially the VRB story. One of my mate and my sister in law is doing PhD in Chemical Engineering (Flow Batteries-including VRB, Graphene etc) in Syd Uni. I have interest and some knowledge on flow batteries as I myself an Electro-Mech engineer. I have discussions with them about the flow batteries and even visited their lab and a VRB prototype with 2nd generation Electrolyte. What I gathered from them is-
1. VRB has good potential but there are many variables and commercial successs is not guaranteed
2. Major VRB drawbacks are :
A. Efficiency: 65% “round-trip efficiency,” a measure of how much electricity comes out of them per unit of electricity going in. Whereas Lithium-ion has 90% efficiency.
B. Cost. VRB is currently $500/Kwh cheaper than Li-ion but there are alternative flow batteries much cheaper such as Zinc Bromide flow batteries. E.g. Aus company called Red Flow has production ready ZBM flow batteries.
c. Space & Suitability . Requires massive space because of Electrolyte tanks. More bigger the Electrolyte tank- More mega watts it produces and the Electric Energy is stored in the electrolyte. Because of its space it is more suited to Grid scale than home use.
3. Other VRB threats:
A. Tesla Li-ion Batteries
B. US dept of energy PNNL's VRB licenses
C. VRB using Recycled vanadium produced by Imergy
D. Breakthroughs in Graphene batteries, Pure Lithium batteries (Stanford Uni) and Semi-Solid Li-ion Batteries(Cambridge Uni)
E. Alternative Flow Batteries such as Zinc Bromide, ZincIron, IronCromium etc
F. The list goes on and on.
All IMO and do Kelsie's DYOR.. DYOR..Good luck mate...
