I would only pay attention to what actual government ministers are saying re shale gas rather than speculate on the share nprice going down on miniscule volume.The world economic forum is in Cape Town and the cabinet minister spokesperson Phumi Williams had this to say:

"Government declared the economy an apex priority and new areas of growth such as the ocean economy, the green economy and shale gas exploration have been opened."

I cant see any delay or hesitation from the government on issuing the regulations or the exploration licenses - quite the opposite ...there is a major energy crisis in South Africa, the economy is suffering and electricity prices are going up another 12 % .They are not going to just sit on possibly the worlds 5th largest shale gas resource that can solve their problems in one go.

Publishing regulations and warding licenses will validate shale gas exploration being opened up.
