    Quite right John, I'm not a pharmacist but all the stuff in the relenza packs is only zanamavir plus lactose (a simple sugar). If my child had H5N1 infection I would happily stick a needle in her vein and mix up some inhalable relenza in sterile water and inject it. I have no idea why someone hasn't tried it yet.

    It's all to do with regulatory approval I suppose.
