Islamists seeking dirty bomb, page-14

Look, there's a problem with radical Islamism in the world, and everyone can see that.

The core issue of debate though is whether we need to erode our basic democratic principles to be able to survive/adapt to this threat.

In my opinion this is not required, and the same people raising their heads about the threat today are the same people banging on about yesterday's threat who were also wrong.

In short, it is just an excuse for the tight social control some people desire, be they from the right or left of politics. In short, the type of people who are generally scared of people being free.

I can assure you, there is nothing 'grown up' about such a position.
