It all revolves around the partnership with mgf, mobile giving foundation they have charitable status and have the access to every mobile company in the U.S., where you donate it is put on your phone bill or with pre paid it is taken of your credits. Yes charities have big costs but as this takes off they can reduce.
But every dollar donated only 15% is taken, where through tradional methods most of its outsourced at a 40% or higher cost. By convincing people to donate to this way charities get more money an do more.
As I said before micro donations of even 20 cents are viable and there is no handling 3 cents is deducted and the rest placed in the charities account. Where as in collection it has to collected counted transported and banked.
