You're correct Schlomo. There is no excuse for freezing trading in AGM if it is only to make an announcement of a new issue.

That's why I stuck my neck out a couple of days ago to float the idea of a takeover offer that the directors are having to respond to. Caught unawares. The extension to the extension supports my view, but I could be wrong.

If I am wrong then the freezing of trade flies in the face of what the ASX is for - freely negotiable securities. Some poor b.....ds probably had their financial plans messed up, wanting to raise cash by selling AGM during last week and today.

So let's hope the bearded ones have a good reason for a delay with a length that is unprecedented in my dealings with the ASX over the last 15 years.

BTW, do takeovers go publicly to an ASX announcement first, or to the board first? Anybody know?
