It is not up to you or any single other country to tell somebody how to live their lives. OK?
If you sought asylum in any of those countries you have to respect their way of life. PERIOD. They have been in existence for thousands of years and have culture and beliefs which date back even more. Who are you to go in and start a sh!t storm?
Australia was settled 215 years ago. Federation of Australia is even younger than that. It is a mishmash of cultures and is diverse, tolerant and encourages debate - a modern culturally diverse democracy.
Some of these ME nations are not tolerant of other religious beliefs but they are not all terrorists. If people are happy to live their lives as they do why impose your will and beliefs on them? You may not agree with everything they do or live by - neither do I. But in no way does that justify aggression and war.
