I have an open mind I am not the one who is blinded into believing everything the US does is great.
But it would appear you are suffering from the same problem several others here suffer from - the lack of basic reading and comprehesion skills.
As I stated (but your reeading skills let you down) shutting down terrorists is a good thing and should be a priority of every country.
Yes if a country does not do its part it should be threatened with and have sanctions imposed. but to bribe a country into toeing the line with the promise of aid, shut down the countries ecomony (only a small part of the offshore banking related to suspected terrorist activities), then walk away denying the promise of aid is wrong.
1. Why should have Nauru bothered to do the right thing they would have been screwed if they did not and they have been screwed for doing the right thing.
2. Where do you think the terrorist money is going to go now, there are at least 50 countries operating offshore banking.
3. There are also a number of countries that have a trade in passports - do a web search it is not that hard.
4. If you do a search you will find that a large number of companies offering to arrange offshore/secret bank accounts and passports are in the US - maybe they should clean up their own back yard first.
5. Not to mention the number of US, Australian, UK and banks from other major countries that have been operating off shore banks.
5. After what has happened to Nauru what do you think the next country is going to do when approached by the US to reform their banking and the one after that and so on.
