Hey Tyler, You're a bit off on how LinkedIn works. Yes, they would have had to have invited and accepted an invitation to become a connection on LinkedIn, but it in no way indicates they have e-mailed back and forth (other than to confirm the connection). It also won't indicate a time from when they became connections. I have been one of those 'ADO-Rites who regularly checks GC's connections (sad I know), and this one has been around for a while. It is encouraging, but not hard link to say there's something more than two colleagues in the same industry working on very similar technology who could have bumped into one another at a conference and then connected. Happens all the time, hence Geoff's 500+ connections. For relevance, I have 500+ connections as well, but could not tell you who half of them are or how/when we met.

Not trying to burst your bubble, but wouldn't be doubling down based on this connection. Other reasons, maybe ;-)
