I have read somewhere that early exploration at Mapawa has indicated a sizable 2g/t lode. There is a line of thought that they will mine this and supplement the UG mined ore to keep the processing plant at maximum throughput once the open cut has been decommissioned. I did have an issue with the original commissioning of the processing plant. They used a stockpile of old Mapawa ore which caused problems. Hopefully they have overcome this.
