Masters is not an established brand. A game of word association would link "Masters" to flavoured ice coffee over a hardware store.
Throwing the Masters store under the Bunnings umbrella might also be tricky. Store distribution (geographical) is probably not in line with Bunnings. Can you imagine the punch line in their routine hand-outs? "We now have two Bunnings stores near you!"
Obviously Masters is a hard gig to pull off. It was never going to be easy - the market is tough and the competitors are mature. WOW needed to open another avenue for growth and Masters was chosen.Who out there is willing to invest in management willing to sit on their hands?
Masters, along with it's owners, can survive. The road to success will be challenging with tears for us no doubt. Very keen to see how this all plays out.
