re: are we forming a broadening top.gann? Futures are only a quick way of getting exposure to the market.
Therefore if the market during open hours falls then so do the contracts, which prove the above.
My reasoning is that the market during open hours is not reacting to what futures do as futures will follow what the market does, however the market will react to what the futures reacted to when the market was closed.
That is not to say the real market is been influenced by futures, the real market is been influenced by what influenced futures, not futures influencing the market.
If I went and brought enough contracts to put the SPI up 50pts when everything else was flat, do you think the market would open up 50pts?? Of course not.
Futures do not influence the real buying on the market.
