I don't disagree with much of what you said.... my point was just that all this parlarva coming from the govt about how terrible it was to have a bad person on Q&A is a beat up. Given some of the recent attacks from govt ministers you could be excused for thinking this was an unprecedented outrageous decision. Which is rubbish.
Yes, the ABC is funded by govt. But a lot of Australians would be furious if it wasn't. Millions of ABC "shareholders" continue to vote with their eyeballs and tune in to ABC programs every week.
Sure, the ABC is left of center - but personally I don't mind hearing a different view every now and again to balance the right of center views we get all the time from some others.
