In education, G8 has claimed a 16 per cent holding in Affinity Education, a likely precursor to a takeover play. G8 paid a 29 per cent premium to Affinity’s last traded price in order to secure the holding, with Perpetual divesting its 15 per cent position and the remainder bought on-market.
