I'm always stunned that virtually no HC members use a system. Their system is to follow what 'member x' said. Or "there's a flag forming!", as if that's a system.
In terms of finding an edge, the micro sector is incredibly hard. Much more easy and low-hanging fruit lies in the middle and big cap companies.
In the micros, you are always faced with massive spread and most of the time you're crossing this massive spread at least once, if not twice - certainly twice in fast moving stocks. You have tiny liquidity, where even a 5k trade can move the market. You have spruikers going at it non-stop. And you have the fact that 99% of such cruddy companies end up where they started. It's the dirty end of the play ground. Hard to come out clean. Hard to come out a winner.
