Ummmmm.
BUPA is a mix of the oldest health and largest funds in Australia. MBF, HBA and Mutual community. Not sure what the share of market is today but MBF was the largest fund in Qld years ago by a long way. MBF had over 20% of NSW market and more of Tasmania Market as did HBA, Mutual Community was largest in South Australia.
I don't think that BUPA are going anywhere soon. The former head of BUPA Australia now runs the the UK operation.
BUPA and MPL are the dominant players, with MPL have more even national coverage as BUPA will be weak in Victoria and have little in WA.
