The trouble Briter is that the youth of today and the last twenty years have been told to go to uni and get a degree. So what happens is everyone gets a degree and then we have five people with the same qualifacations applying for the same job. There are no incentives under either Labour or Liberal to employ trainees, who wants to spend half of there day showing someone how to do something and losing time and money when they could be getting on with the job and actually making some money.I owned a construction business for 15 years and have been in the industry for thirty years and cannot see things getting better until people wake up and finally make it viable for employers to take on trainees. So until then we have to get tradesman from overseas simple as that.
