First feed to Lin was in November 2012, over 2 1/2 years ago. There are obviously serious issues with LAMP. First off corroded pipes, then issue after issue and do not forget they taken impairment charges of over $230 mill on assets.
Moly also claimed state of the art, low cost new technology. Whatever LAMP was conceived as, it is not what popped out after the gestation period.
The seperation process is obviously complex and maybe there is a bit of art required as well as science to produce REE at a consitient flow and consitient quality.
Unless you were a chemical engineer with REE experience, I doubt that you , I or any interested observer would ever have more than a superficial understanding of the issues involved.
