IMHO it's a mistake to assume that the F35 would be superior simply due to its ability to detect and destroy BVR
That is far from being tested and would only mitigate an enemy force that is scrambled in greater numbers.. with the whole intention of confronting the F35 within visual range
Needs the ADVENT engine tech from GE for more power
The future of carrier and ship based will have to be and should be UAV with our most capable manned fighters to be used in high impact defence actions..
