Better ground to air weapons would have been a big factor also, if they could hit a B52 at 45,000 feet or lock onto an F15 at speed and chase it down.

I doubt the US would invade without overwhelming odds in their favour. Hope the whole thing destroys their economy and teaches them a lesson.
