re: bloodbath and its getting worse funkywhuff seriously, it is not pleasant being long and having your capital caned on days like this but if you look beyond the immediate doom and gloom and back your instincts (assuming your instincts are right) you will be fine. Benjamin Graham (I think) said the markets in the short term are a voting machine but long term are a weighing machine, if you pick the right stocks, short term sentiment will not matter in the long run. And most people who have traded prior to the last 4 years have probably worn big losses now and then, it is all experience which helps next time you have opportunity.
