The US is finding it hard to increase revenues........................there has been a lot of share buybacks which makes EPS look good, but it is not the whole story.....
By the close, US Nymex crude had tacked on 0.4 per cent to $US50.36, while Brent crudeadded 0.7 per cent to $US57.04.
The recovery came amid a weaker session on Wall Street as soft earnings dragged indices away from records.
