I recently had a look at the Reclaim Australia Face Book page. As I scanned down the page I saw that there was outrage over Muslims in Malaysia requesting a crucifix be removed from the top of a local church because it offended Muslims. Upon reading the actual article (as opposed to Reclaim's angry lopsided commentary on the article) it turns out that the community, which was Muslim, requested in a peaceful and orderly way that the crucifix be removed. They did not have an issue with the church being in their community but just the cross up on the roof which was externally visible. The church complied and removed the cross when requested to do so by local officials. Naturally Reclaim made much more of this than they ought.......

But then scanning just 2 articles further Reclaim's down Face Book page there was even more angry outrage (who would have thunk it) about a proposed Mosque in Logan south of Brisbane. Reclaim were not just opposed to some external Islamic symbol on the outside of the building....but unlike their Muslim counterparts in Malaysia that were happy enough for the church itself to stay they wanted the construction of the mosque banned altogether.

The term "The pot calling the kettle black" did occur to me. Frankly, despite the fact that in my view Reclaim are by far the worse here I see fault on both side. Only when there is total tolerance and respect on ALL sides to the beliefs of others will there ever be harmony in the world.........like that is ever going to happen.
