"How can you say that the Vatican is more holy to Catholics than the birthplace and burial place of CHRIST? "

GZ, with all due respect, not withstanding the current Intifada, why do the overwhelming majority of Catholics make their pilgrimage to the Vatican rather than to the birthplace of the founder of their religion? What's so holy about the Vatican, apart from the holy atrifacts that have been looted from everywhere over the centuries and are now hidden there?

Just because the Pope decided to have his "office" in Rome. Just because all the Popes esed to be dings doesnt mean to say all Catholics "worship" the Vatican!!!!!!

I didn't quite follow everything in that sentence. I will concede however the comment about Catholics worshipping the Vatican. I said that tongue in cheek to highlight that to Catholics, for some reason the Vatican occupies a loftier spot than does the birthplace of their founder. They speak with their feet....and their feet are not to be seen in Bethlehem.

The Holly See is in Italy! The Centre of Papal Infallibility is in Italy?

What's in Bethelem? Certainly not the centre piece of Christianity, except in books and stories.

Maybe a leaf should be taken out of the Muslim book. They make a Haj to what they believe is holy.

Jews do the same ......the Western Wall in Jerusalem

This photo set a precedent for Jewish thought and religious observance in that in Jewish worship, it is mandatory for a man to cover his head when he enters a Holy Place.

When these soldiers entered in and stood before the ancient Wailing Wall after nearly 2000 years of exile from its sacredness and inspiration, this young soldier was so overcome with reverence and emotion that he reached up and removed his helmet.

The resulting impact of the photo has touched millions of the world among both Jew and Gentile. It speaks of the greatness of the human spirit and man's eternal reaching for the Creator.
