Delta, had to have a laugh yesterday at your Manilaian binge; luckily you survived. There has been several murders here in Vietnam of late for far less.
Being a newbie I have no hard luck tales to tell, although I hope my present predicament is not an omen for the future.
Nearing the end of my Vietnamese holiday and have traded all I own; what else to do on the coffee/cashew farm while sipping robusta and fresh soya milk, and my mother-in-laws black rice wine. Not together of course: pre and post lunch respectively.
Predicament is that I've had to go to the fish pond and dig out our last remaining ounce of yellow rock, a wedding gift 5 years ago. Wife can't understand with prices where they are. But it's the dragon engraving I'll miss most, not to mention the weight for something so small.
Hoping LWP, AWD and other various bags of wind will enable me to buy it back. Probably at a high.
