I honestly dont know why gold bears actually refuse to accept facts. It makes their position look baseless. It is fact that POG gets dumped on the paper gold market from time to time, by someone selling a huge amount at a thin time. So, anyone can figure out what the intention of that is. So, let us call a spade a spade.
And, as I said, if someone comes here and denies fact... well, it detracts from every other sentence they have ever written.
Now, given us beaten gold bulls are... beaten. And we know what happened. The fair questions to ask are
1) will it happen again
2) will it ever stop happening
3) will physical gold ever disconnect from paper gold
I have come to the conclusion that the banksters are indeed doing this. And they are making a lot of money. And I cannot see anything in place, or on the horizon, to get them to stop. The only hope for a gold bull is the banksters will decide to make money from going long for a couple of years. But I dont think they will do that, as this group of fiends really depend upon fiat being the winner.
So, for me, this is just a watching thing now. And if you are gold bear and you say 'oh, there is no evidence of manipulation', well, you are not being very smart. And it makes you look dumb. And it makes all you have typed appear dumb.
So, given there is manipulation, is there any way a gold bull (I guess a moral gold bull, because a price gold bull cannot exist... by definition).. is there any way a gold bull can profit. Or seriously, should we all give up.
Skol is correct that after gold booms, the bear market goes for decades. Why would we invest in a commodity that is manipulated down by unlimited fiats used by criminals. It seems not a good place to be.
What can I look for, concrete, that the manipulation is ended. Or it has gone go the other side. That is, manipulated UP.
For the dummies here that say gold was manipulated UP in the past. Well, that is just dumb. As the manipulators have no reason to manipulate up. And I am sure if the banksters stared to manipulate UP, their buddies (FEDs and govts) would be very unhappy with them.
