Bowral, the passionate and parochial chants of the barmy army are well known and not restricted to just one person and are not unlike those of our own supporters at the cricket, tennis and international rugby.
There is a world of difference between the selective and orchestrated serial targeting of Adam Goodes for booing/sledging that has gone on for about four months this year and the passionate chants of people cheering on English players in the cricket and Leyton Hewitt during the recent Davis Cup match that he won against the odds.
And it should be noted that Goodes continued to play throughout the serial booing/sledging until it began to take a toll on his younger team-mates; culminating in Lewis Jetta's repeat of the dance in Perth. Goodes's record demonstrates his passion and his commitment to his team, to indigenous people and to the wider community.
Having publicly intimated that he feels racially abused, those intending to continue that activity need to realise that henceforth that's what it is.
