farsight I have stayed short all week and it has done well for me, and traded just a little which seems to be going alright too, but I don't use technicals, probably dumb luck this week but also common sense: why would the market bounce today without clear direction or reason?....a trend line may help in normal circumstances but this could be a major turning point could it not so all bets are off. The SPI has been bouncing back and forth the last 2 days and gone precisely nowhere.
