You miss the whole point. If there is one essential to value investing, is that it is concerned with the underlying asset - the share price is really of very little interest, apart from the fact that if is is low enough it can provide an attractive entry point.

This is what value investing is all about. The market will do whatever it desires. A value investor should not be distracted by this. I suggest you will be more entitled to make a judgement about what may or may not be "a lot of rubbish written about so called value investing" once you understand these basics.
