Cheers @whisky49 and great post – You have pretty much hit the nail on the head on all the key points.

I especially like the end point of your comment - At some stage the market will reflect the true value of what we sit on and probably overshoot to the upside and it won't be 27.5 c and it won't be tomorrow....” This is what many need to realize, and some investors often do get frustrated on lack of news.

You are also right about your point on resources bust, as there is a general commodities bust - one of the worst in history. I’ve already done 2 macro write ups on 2 other commodities (iron and gold) and have been planning to do others on some other commodities since some time but have not had the time. Like you, I agree that graphite is an emerging resource for a changing world and TON is best positioned. This is the reason why I’m a little more comfortable with TON/graphite despite being otherwise pretty bearish on other macro sectors.

Lol @Jaded -We have already briefly discussed algos/bots in this thread itself. So, there’s definitely no need to read 7 years’ threads.

It is the combination of factors that perpetually cap the price of TON that is the issue. We saw in June how it was being systematically being taken down half-1 cent at a time.

There is also the bit of spoofing - the fake orders of 186 K shares discussed earlier in this thread is an example. Here are an article describing spoofing.
    http://www.*.com.au/what-is-spoofing-the-market-2015-4

And then there is the fact that there is an ongoing ASIC investigation on past potential manipulation of SYR. So it would be very naive to ignore the possibility of such a situation in TON.

And of course the fact that for TON, good news is always bad news – I understand the concept of “buy the rumour and sell the news” but for TON, this was done a bit too much.

So yeah, common market trading practices are being applied to TON, but a little on the extreme side. At the very least, it is fair to assume that.

I'll however agree that buyers do need to step up, and many long term investors are definitely topping up from time to time.

I'm sorry to hear that you missed last saturdee dance but nothing to worry about- Saturday is coming again, and better luck this time around

I’ll also address your other point @Jaded. You can combine multiple points in 1 post you know instead of that 1/3 ; 2/3 stuff that you do. This way you can use the 3 posts to the maximum

“Has the actual Economist article been reprinted on the TON website or in a "pirate" post ?” – Jaded
How is all this relevant? It is not TON's job to go searching the web for articles and post it on their website.

“Have any Big Boy Tonners [the wolves?] subscribed to the Economist and give us an "independent gist" of it?” – Jaded
They really don’t need to. If you feel the need to subscribe, you can always do. I hope you provide us an independent gist of it after that.

rather than "selected extracts" in PR Blogs with their interpretations and inferences slipped in? [as per macau one earlier] ? –Jaded
So is this one a PR blog too?
Is there a reliable list of media outlets that has been approved for our reading and research….in your GERO of course? And how dare those other smaller media outlets express their own interpretations and inferences

“You seem to be very chuffed that this is the Respected Economist Reporting but without reading the whole, original article for getting a true, balanced context.” - Jaded
One cannot be expected to subscribe anywhere and everywhere all over the net. Since you don’t rely on the blog, you could always subscribe to the Economist and provide us the whole article........so that we get a true, balanced context of course

Really it can't be touted until the smoke'n'mirrors Doctorates in Spin Blogger/Shills are cleared off. – Jaded
Once more Jaded – please provide us a list of GERO approved media outlets
We'd also appreciate a GERO blacklist of the spin bloggers/shills that you mention so that we can be more wary next time.

What does the Original Source the Economist Article actually inform one of ? – Jaded
I’m confused. Are you now even doubting the Economist’s sources?

@jackarooz Very nicely written post mate. Hope you have been doing good and hope your house moving stuff is all done with.
We haven’t been seeing much of you since a long time. Hope to see your top quality posts on a more regular basis again.
    Cheers
