I have ben on ignore, his one eyed rusted on opinion bores me.
Ye Shorten is not a viable or credible alternative but fact is he rates about the same as Abbott in voters minds and the possibility of him winning the next election against Abbott is very real. Hard to ignore Labor have been ahead in the polls for 19 months consistently.
I can't see that the liberal party will stick with Abbott much longer the way things are going, the prospect of liberal MP's losing their seats and losing government is too big a price to pay.
Leadership speculation is starting to surface again and in the months if not weeks ahead the opinion polls will serve to fuel that speculation.
The liberal party will not want to go into a election year with leadership speculation hanging over their heads, as such will have to decide before the year end who will lead at the next election.
There is also speculation Abbott will call an early election, that would be a big risk given the current polling and I doubt Liberal PM's would be comfortable with that
