Perhaps institutional shareholders who took part in the CR at 70c, and are not happy to have seen the SP dwindle to 18c,asked the board to tap him on the shoulder? (Remember that CR? ... the one all the HC retail shareholders were complaining they weren't allowed to participate in it).
I personally think JB has done a good job over the last couple of years in a difficult environment.
