So even though he is keeping his election commitment that the marriage act would not change in their first term of government (keeping in mind the left have had fits of rage over broken promises) and has publicly stated that the issue should be in the hands of the Australian people and not politicians, you still want to argue that it's all a plot to get his own stance enacted? But in the same post agree with his views on how it should be handled. Confusing.
