Now, I won't bother putting up a list of things they haven't accomplished, but are management really doing that bad of a job?

Look at the other RNAi and gene therapy companies. Their market caps are all down significantly over the past few weeks. Benitec is obviously no exception. The wind has simply gone out of the sails for the meantime. Benitec still have 2 months to wait for news before they list if that is what they want to do.

Personally, if it doesn't go ahead, I won't be too upset.
