however algorithmic trading across a broad spectrum of stocks is simply about accumulation of stock or capital , you can play the game if you have the fortitude and can develop a strategy that mirrors the algo.

I have been told but never was privileged that some Insto brokers lets you use the house algo if you have a big enough position that you don't want to cause big movement in the SP. I see those single digit orders and trades but have not bothered to find out the real purpose or their strategy. Only brokers who don't charge themselves brokerage can play these games. If you want to snap up a big order the dark pools are designed for this purpose, to stop the front running by algos.


if like me you bought yesterday at 199.5 to ride a wave bought more at 184 to average down then choices are ,sit it out,trade it, or buy more and trade or sit.

We have to disagree on this strategy. Usually you buy more at 1.84 is because 199.5 was not the level you thought was the low? If you were wrong what makes you think 1.84 was the correct low? What if tomorrow was lower, you buy some more?

Sorry to pick on your post but I disagree extremely with averaging down because I have done it and I have never once made it work! It just creates psychological damage to the investor in the next trade.
