Sure, there are many ways to skin the cat. Whatever works but from a consensus view I have never read or been adviced through forums or in private that average down is an effective strategy. That's the market for you, an exchange of opinions. Charting is neither a panacea for price discovery nor atm machine. No method is perfect. Market depth has their weakness too as big players never show their hands and with chi-x operating and dark pools how do you collate your total market depth? Not a stock trader for a long time now so just curious questions.
