I have a feeling it's the ROC Government that might have asked EQX to find someone to keep the project moving forward if the company couldn't.
EQX sells to a company that will develop the project, receives a royalty on sales revenue, and keeps Badondo which is the company maker.
It's a shame though, a lot of time and money was poured into the project, the macro conditions just weren't in favor of a company without cash flows to develop it. Sound familiar? It should.
