To my understanding, the base product is done. The upcoming raise will provide the funding to get the first models to market. They're already taking a shortlist for early sales at a discounted price.

The research grant is for increases to functionality to the base model. Some of the out there stuff they're looking at like in-ear language translation technology and stuff like that.
